Climate change is a very real and prevalent issue in today’s society. So what can we do to stop it? Can we reverse the effects that have already taken place? This essay will address the issues of climate change, answer questions and talk about prevention. It is said that the Earth’s climate has been changing for the past century (State Government of Victoria, 2014). There is new found, stronger evidence that there have been increases in the average temperature across the globe and that the believed to be main cause of this change is due to human activities (University Corperation for Atmospheric Research, 2013). Greenhouse gases are what are most commonly referred to in conversation on climate change. Although greenhouse gases are generally referred to on the negative side, they are also essential to life (Mapstone, 2011). The greenhouse gases which consist of carbon dioxide, water vapor and methane retain heat in the earth’s atmosphere, gently warming our planet to sustain life, just as a greenhouse would in a cold climate, which is evidently where it receives its name. The sun warms the surface of the earth, which then radiates energy back towards space through the atmosphere. The greenhouse gases then absorb some of t he radiation and radiate heat in different directions, including towards earth. This is now adding to the heat the surface of the earth is already receiving from the sun. Without the aid of this greenhouse affect it is said that the surface of the earthShow MoreRelatedTaking a Look at Climate Change1769 Words   |  7 PagesIf we are going to look at the consensus on climate change we should start by defining which group of people is supposed to be reaching that consensus. The business strategies of a company rely heavily on its marketing strategies. The purpose of any business is to expand its customer base. The profit of an organization are not increased by technology, infrastructure but it is solely dependent upon the customer base and their satisfaction. Therefore, the basic idea of marketing is to create a customer-driven organization wherein the customer satisfaction is given supreme importance. In the present business scenario, the competition among the business organizations has drastically increased. Therefore, the importance of marketing methods has also increased in expanding the market share and retaining the previous customers. The fundamental goal of the marketing strategy is to increase the sales and enhance the brand awareness for the company (Ferrell Hartline, 2013). The marketing strategy encompasses several short-term and long-term methods that are focused on upl ifting the situation and the profitability of an organization. The most fundamental part of the marketing strategy is the marketing mix which refers to the tools and techniques that can be used by the company to influence the consumer behavior and pursue its marketing objectives. Traditionally, the marketing mix refers to the four major aspects which are manipulated to pursue the marketing strategy. At present, the marketing mix is extended to eight aspects, namely, product, prices, promotion, distribution, partnerships, people, processes and physical evidence (Belohlavek, 2008). In this essence, in this report, the marketing strategy of Boost juice is evaluated in the Australian market. In the initial section of the report, the history and the background of the company has been covered. Subsequently, the marketing strategy of the company has been evaluated by the examination of its marketing mix. In the later section, a few recommendations are made to the company to enhance its mar keting methods. Boost Juice Bars is an Australian retail organization that deals with various health products such as juice, smoothies and protein and energy drinks. The company was founded in 2000 in Australia by Janine Allis and today has presence in several countries across the globe. Boost is famous for providing healthy and fresh diet products to the customers has reached sales of over $ 2 billion. The company came into existence when during an American trip, the companys founder examined that the fresh juice bar market is developed in several countries, yet in Australia there are very few juice bar companies despite its healthy and outdoorsy lifestyle. In order to increase the sales, there are some demand-inducing variables which constituents the marketing mix of the company. The classical marketing mix has four variables (Product, Price, Place and Promotion); however, in the recent years expanded into eight Ps of marketing with changes in the business environment. In the below section, the marketing mix of Boost Juice is evaluated. The company offers various health food products. It includes high quality fruit juice, smoothies or juice bars. The company has always focused on quality of the products and incorporated fresh fruit juice blended with yoghurt and healthy smoothies. In the recent years, in order to tap the health-conscious customers, the company has introduced several products such as high protein, super-food, tropical and spirit. The company has made a motto to make all its products from natural ingredients and low fat. The company avoids unnatural products, artificial flavors and sweeteners or preservatives. It has also developed its product according to its target customers. The regular smoothies of the company are filled with the natural nutrients whereas the Super Smoothies are designed to maximize the benefits by adding various Boosters. It has also introduced products in accordance with the customer taste such as tea lovers. In different locations, the company has customized its products to sui t the local tastes. Boost has introduced several tailor-made products which are developed according to the local taste and needs (Boost, 2017). In its marketing strategy, the company has kept the prices of all the menu items low. It is done in order to attract more customers and compete with other food and beverage companies such as Coke and Pepsi. However, keeping the prices low has reduced the profit margins of the company (Prowd, 2013). Boost Juice acknowledges that different customers in different corners of the world have different taste, values, customs, purchasing power and habits. The company ensures that its promotional strategy in the foreign markets is different from its local strategy and adapted according to the local market needs. The promotional strategies are also developed according to the purchasing power, media habits and consumer interest in the local region. In its expansion, the company follows the strategy of franchising. In this strategy, it chooses the prominent and the experienced market players of the local region, who have intensive knowledge of the local market. However, the company also focuses on maintaining the integrity and the brand message of the organization (Boost, 2017). Moreover, with its foundation the company has followed a unique marketing approach of above-the-line and below-the-line marketing. As a result, within five years of its inception the company has arrived at 94% market awareness. The above the line marketing of the company includes the use of social media, television and the radio campaigns. In contrast to it, below the line methods include, e-mail marketing, engaging website, media coverage and customer service (Boos Study Kit, 2015). Boost Juice has adopted the strategy of franchising as its distribution strategy. About 70% of the Boost Juice outlet is franchised to different distributors. It is the method of expanding the outreach to the customers by leasing the business model and the brand name for a specific period of time to other businesses (Switzer Daily, 2009). Boost Juice has developed partnership with Bain Capital a private equity partner (Fitzsimmons, 2014). In addition to it, the company has also formed a new partnership with AIA Australia (IFA, 2016). In the marketing mix, the people refer to the founders, employees and the culture of the company. As per the love life philosophy of the company, it tries to give an exceptional experience to the customers. Therefore, the company has constructed attractive stores with vibrant colors to give exceptional consumer experience. The company is also focused on providing exceptional customer service to all the customers. The process of the company refers to the service delivery, complaints and the response time of the company. It refers to the user stories, recommendations and the general buzz around the organization. In this regard, the company has well-maintained its website and shares the stories of the customers and their experience in social media with the organization. The company also tries to create buzz by tapping the current social trends. Contemporary Issues and the Competition Due to the advancements in the times and the changing consumer behavior, the marketing management of the business organizations has also undergone drastic changes. Due to the advancements in technology, the outreach of the companies has increased; however, several issues have also emerged due to increase in accessibility of the information. The companies have to maintain their brand image and social responsibility. They cannot consider themselves as entities which are completely separated from their social responsibility or consider that their main objective is profit making (Shankar et al., 2012). As a result, the companies have considered taking several actions to give back to the society where they are operating. Boost Juice also take several initiatives to control their emissions and minimize the negative impact on the environment. The company has introduced different versions of the paper cups which are manufactured from renewable and the sustainable resources. Moreover, the com pany uses non-toxic and food-safe inks which are not harmful to the environment. Along with it, the company has actively participated in several charity and philanthropic activities (Boost Juice, 2017). Moreover, social media also has changed the dynamics of the business environment. The business organizations can instantly connect with their customers and the target market. However, these customers can also connect with each other and provide their feedback and reviews to a larger audience. Therefore, it has become essential for the business organizations to focus on the customer experience and satisfaction each and every time. Furthermore, the companies can also use the social media to study the market trends and the customer preferences. They can also instantly promote their services, products, offers and discounts with social media. Other technological advancement also assists business organizations to increase their operational efficiency and productivity in business. For instance, the companies can automate the processes to minimize the human error. It also reduces the operational costs to the companies (Ferrell Hartline, 2013). However, with the technical advancements, the connectivity of the people and consumers has also increased. Before making the purchase decision, the customers evaluate the product options and then determine which product he has to buy. It has drastically increased the competition among the business organizations. The companies also integrate ethical principles and social marketing to increase their brand value (Fifield, 2012). Recommendations for Formulation of Marketing Strategy In the following section, several recommendations are made so that the business organization can enhance its marketing strategy and attain a larger market share. Boost Juice is focused on providing healthy juices and smoothies to the customers. The competitive advantage of the company is its focus on the health products. However, the product range of the company is limited. Therefore, the company must focus on developing its product range. Boost Juice can offer health food salad, wholegrain bread and its sandwiches to include variety in its product offering (Hill, 2012). The price of the products is comparatively low in comparison to the product value. The company is offering the products at low prices so that it can attract more customers. However, the profit margin of the company is comparatively low. In this essence, the company can provide a detailed product range wherein the products with additional features can be sold at a higher rate. The company uses a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote itself. It uses broadcast media like television, radio and social media to connect with the customers. Boost Juice can enhance its promotional strategy by incorporating its philosophy in the marketing campaigns. It should focus on the use of vibrant colors and sports in its marketing campaigns. It can also join hands with other sports organization or adventure companies to promote its products (Hill Jones, 2009). In its distribution strategy, the company should focus on developing its retail outlets in places known for outdoor sports activities such as beaches or sports clubs. Moreover, the company should also develop a few outlets in the office colleges or youth clubs to tap the market of young generation. In order to expand its business, the company should initiate partnerships with other health product companies. Being a big organization, it can acquire small companies which are focused on healthy diet and food products. It can also work on creating partnerships with financial firms and companies to increase its financial robustness. In the present competitive environment, human resources are considered as a vital asset in the development of the competitive advantage. They represent the company and interact with the customers. The company should focus on developing its human resources to compete with other organizations in the same industry. The service professionals of the company should be provided training to provide the customer excellent services in its retail outlets. Moreover, the company should also invest in attracting the best talent in the industry by providing better remuneration and attractive salary packages (Partridge Sinclair-Hunt, 2005). The process of the company can be enhanced by implementation of technology and technically-advanced machinery and equipment. The company should focus on the implementation of a strategy so that no customer is dissatisfied with the services and the customer service professionals are prompt to enhance their experience with the company (Partridge Sinclair-Hunt, 2005). In order to increase the physical evidence for the product, service and quality, Boost juice can initiate an online blog. The company can share its own experience or the experience of the customers in this blog. Additionally, the company can also establish promotional videos wherein the company can connect with its customer base through online mediums. Boost Juice can share its philosophy, vision and connect it with the Australian community. Conclusion Conclusively, it can be stated that Boost Juice has targeted a niche market in the Australian community and tapped on the health conscious customers. The company was founded in 2000 by Janine Allis when she found that there is no food product for the health conscious customers in Australia. In the founding years, she conducted marketing research and examined the customer behavior by directly dealing with the customers. The company expanded in different countries as well as in Australia through franchising. Moreover, it extended a specific marketing mix to attract maximum customers. It has also implemented the strategy of keeping the prices low to attract maximum customers. The company focuses not only on providing excellent quality products but focusing on a very different consumer experience. In this direction, the stores are painted with vibrant colors and front desk professionals provide excellent services to the customers. In the report, it is recommended that the company increas e its number of outlets in places with maximum young population. In its promotional activities, it can start blog and posting promotional videos. References Ferrell, O.C., Hartline, M. (2013). Marketing Strategy, Text and Cases. Boston: Cengage Learning. How did Hastings Big Five model of personality leadership traits change from Pure Softwareto Netflix? 5. Which University of Iowa leadership styles did Hastings use at Pure Software and Netflix? 6. Explain how power, orgorganizational politics, networking, and negotiation are, or are not, discussed in the case. Introduction Wilmot Reed Hasting, an education philanthropist and entrepreneur, is known for serving over the boards of Facebook, CEO of Netflix and a number of not- for- profit companies. In the year 1997, Marc Randolph and Hastings contributed in co-founding Netflix that offers film rental- by- mail at a flat rate or price to the customers in the entire United States of America. With the headquarters in California, the company of Netflix has been amassing a collection of more than 44 million subscribers for almost 100,000 titles. Hastings is known for being ahead in the curve of technology. He also possesses the quality of anticipating the preferences of the customers. In consideration with this quality, it had been anticipated by him that in an eventual manner the customers will show preferences towards getting movies instantly being delivered through the sources of the internet (Musek 2007). Even though the organization is now being criticized by a number of individuals in the market, the org anization had been able to achieve success in the initial period and in recent times due to the leadership style of Reed Hastings. Hence, the leadership style of Reed Hastings is extremely important for the purpose of this report and will be the key focus of the research as well. In the beginning of the year 2005, the analysts of Wedbush Securities Stock had place a price targeting at 3 dollars, the trading of which was being done at the price of approximately 11 dollars (Loftus 2011). In this particular report, analysis will be done on the case study that questions and doubts the position of Reed Hasting as a number one businessman or entrepreneur. With respect to certain aspects, this report will be analysing the scenario in terms of human resource management and leadership perspectives at Netflix. Hastings Change in Use of Communication In the beginning of the year 2005, the analysts of Wedbush Securities Stock had place a price targeting at 3 dollars, the trading of which was being done at the price of approximately 11 dollars. However, there had been a change in the scenario after Reed Hasting had introduced certain changes within the system of the business. Majority of the success at Netflix is on the basis of the fact as to how the company had been built on culture that was eager to take risks and hard- driving as well. Netflix had managed to initiate change in the model of its business by the cannibalization of its own customers (Loftus 2011). This change had been made in a quick manner without much consideration of certain facts and was initiated in the plans of subscription that resulted in causing a widespread outrage amongst the base of customers. The company had been catching vicious backlash events from the customers who subscribed the organization after the announcement had been made to separate its services of live streaming and providing DVDs through e-mails. The CEO of the company realized that the mistake lied in the way in which communication of the message had been done with the customers (Loftus 2011). The CEO realized this as there had been cancellation of subscriptions by a number of customers and involvement of a number of negative comments along with the plummeted stocks by 50 per cent. In order to rectify the mistake, the CEO had sent an email to 24 million customers of the organization for apologizing stating I messed up and I owe you an explanation. Further announcement had been made that the service of providing DVDs through e-mails will now be known as Qwikster and the organization will be only available for the activity of streaming. This instance can be considered as an evidence for the change that took place in Hasting, in comparison with what had been in the case of Pure Software. This change of communication, as stated by Reed Hastings had not been a tactic of marketing but an expression for the sincere and genuine regret regarding the way in which communication had been handled with the customers (Musek 2007). However, there had still been certain flaws in the way in which communication was being done. Hence, with the changes in its way of communication, the CEO had been introducing transparency in their relationship with the customers. As showing preferences towards communication, Netflix had utilized its services with a consent to receive electronic communications from the web site of Netflix in relation with this acco untability. Hastings Change in Use of Feedback Netflix had managed to initiate change in the model of its business by the cannibalization of its own customers. This change had been made in a quick manner without much consideration of certain facts and was initiated in the plans of subscription that resulted in causing a widespread outrage amongst the base of customers (Loftus 2011). The company had been catching vicious backlash events from the customers who subscribed the organization after the announcement had been made to separate its services of live streaming and providing DVDs through e-mails. These feedbacks had been used by the CEO, Hasting as a source for understanding the perception and expectations of the customers. The CEO then considered making moves for responding to the feedback obtained in a different yet significant manner. This instance can be considered as an evidence for the change that took place in Hasting, in comparison with what had been in the case of Pure Software. The sources of feedback now seem to be involving emails being sent to the email addresses that have been provided in the duration of registration or to post communication over the service of Netflix or on the page of Your Account. This page will be including notices regarding the account such as authorizations on payment, changes in the method of payment or password, confirming e-mails and a number of other information related to transactions. This has resulted in creating a relationship with the organization of Netflix as an important stakeholder of the company (Loftus 2011). In the beginning of the year 2005, the analysts of Wedbush Securities Stock had place a price targeting at 3 dollars, the trading of which was being done at the price of approximately 11 dollars. In this particular report, analysis will be done on the case study that questions and doubts the position of Reed Hasting as a number one businessman or entrepreneur. Hastings Change in Use of Coaching Guidelines Majority of the success at Netflix is on the basis of the fact as to how the company had been built on culture that was eager to take risks and hard- driving as well. Netflix had managed to initiate change in the model of its business by the cannibalization of its own customers. This change had been made in a quick manner without much consideration of certain facts and was initiated in the plans of subscription that resulted in causing a widespread outrage amongst the base of customers (Musek 2007). The coaching guidelines are available on the web page of the company and is one of the most viewed document. By the introduction of these coaching guidelines, the CEO of Netflix had made an attempt of shaping the culture and motivating the performance of the workforce at Netflix. Ideas were being introduced for the management of talent that was highly successful for the organization. This particular change in the coaching guidelines had been considered compelling for the culture and talent of the organization for a number of reasons (Loftus 2011). As stated by the CEO, the derivation of this approach had been done on the basis of common sense. These coaching guidelines have helped in attracting, retaining and managing talent. Considering the leadership of the CEO, it can be stated that he believed in hiring, rewarding and tolerating only those adults who were fully formed. Over the passage of time, it has been observed that if one asks an individual for relying upon common sense and logic rather than the formal policies, majority of the times, one ends up getting improved results and at a lower amount of cost. If a leader becomes careful for hiring an individual who will be putting the interests of the company at first place, who will be understanding and supporting the desire for a workplace with high performance, 97 per cent of the employees at the workforce will be doing the right thing. When it comes to behaving like an adult, Hasting believes in expressing the issues with the colleagues, subordinates and the boss openly. Conflict Management Style of Hasting After the failed experiences of Hasting at the Pure Software, the CEO of Netflix had been showing concern towards the issue related to growth. His public goal was to build a company of entertainment and his personal goal was focused on building a company that grew at a rapid pace without the loss in the spirit of entrepreneurship within this particular process. Netflix had been a bed for being tested in consideration with these theories of the CEO. The model of conflict management, being followed by Hasting at Netflix has resulted in affecting the expectations of the viewers. By the introduction of these conflict management styles, the CEO of Netflix had made an attempt of shaping the culture and motivating the performance of the workforce at Netflix. Ideas were being introduced for the management of talent that was highly successful for the organization (Loftus 2011). This particular change in the style for the management of conflicts had been considered compelling for the culture and talent of the organization for a number of reasons. As stated by the CEO, the derivation of this approach had been done on the basis of common sense. This style for the management of conflict have helped in attracting, retaining and managing talent. This instance can be considered as an evidence for the change that took place in Hasting, in comparison with what had been in the case of Pure Software (Musek 2007). This change of communication, as stated by Reed Hastings had not been a tactic of marketing but an expression for the sincere and genuine regret regarding the way i n which communication had been handled with the customers. However, there had still been certain flaws in the way in which communication was being done. Hence, with the changes in its way of communication, the CEO had been introducing transparency in their relationship with the customers. As showing preferences towards communication, Netflix had utilized its services with a consent to receive electronic communications from the web site of Netflix in relation with this accountability. Improving Product Offerings at Netflix The CEO of the company realized that the mistake lied in the way in which communication of the message had been done with the customers. The CEO realized this as there had been cancellation of subscriptions by a number of customers and involvement of a number of negative comments along with the plummeted stocks by 50 per cent (Bakker 2010). This instance can be considered as an evidence for the change that took place in Hasting, in comparison with what had been in the case of Pure Software (Block 2010). The organization of Netflix had been too slow in offering the services of placing orders through mails that resulted in reducing the number of customers of Netflix. However, the factor of surprise was the subscriptions for mail DVD had been increasing continuously by the year of 2011. So it can be stated that both of these services, in combination, had helped in making Netflix highly successful. Ideas were being introduced for the management of talent that was highly successful for the organization. This particular change in the strategies had been considered compelling for the culture and talent of the organization for a number of reasons (Fleeson 2011). As stated by the CEO, the derivation of this approach had been done on the basis of common sense. These strategies have helped in attracting, retaining and managing talent. The Paradigm of Leadership The philosophy of leadership that the organization of Netflix involves three strategies for the management of people. These strategies will be discussed further ahead. Performance of Reward, not effort This might seem to be harsh but in accordance with Hastings, employees who had been producing work of B- level, even if they had been putting forth an effort of A- level, should end up letting go, with a severance of generosity in package. The workers at A- level, in a converse manner, should be given rewards, even if there have been production of great work with the comparative minimum level of efforts (Hans 2012). A worker who is talented does not need to be putting in a specific duration of hours, while working at a desk. Netflix had been espousing a flexible schedule at work, and does not seem to be restricting the number of days on vacation that can be taken up by the employees every year. This is considered as long as there is production in the work of quality. Protecting the Freedom of Employee As there is growth in the businesses, they often have been taking an increased number of employees, lowering their standards for the talent, and implementation of policies that are more strict for compensation of this absence of autonomy amongst the employees (Ian 2012). It does not seemed to be having the way that is insisted by Hasting. Instead, the organization ought to be raising their standards related to the autonomy for the employees and the standards of talent as the organization has been growing in size. In this way, instead of the development of a highly complicated series of policies towards the work of police, the growth in the business can end up remaining highly flexible and highly competitive within the place of market (Keinonen 2003). The conventional form of wisdom that have prevention in error that is cheaper that can be fixed. This does not seem to be holding up the businesses that are fast, big, and highly flexible that is an ideal form of the trifecta. Big Five Model of Personality Leadership Traits In terms of psychology, the big five model of traits related to personality leadership are five key wide dimensions or domains related to personality that are utilized for description of human personality. The theory on the basis of the big five factors is referred to as the five factor model. The five factors are neuroticism, agreeableness, extraversion, conscientiousness, and openness. The model of big five has the ability of being accountable to a number of varying traits within personality that overlaps (Loftus 2011). On the basis of empirical research that has been conducted, the case of Netflix seems to be showing consistency in being self- described and observed. The openness or exposure towards experience appreciates the category of experience, curiosity, unusual ideas, adventure, emotion and art. This factor of openness reflecting the degree related to intellectual creativity, curiosity and a preference related to variety and novelty a person has. There is also a description as the limit towards which an individual is independent or imaginative, and depictions can be seen in an individual preference for a category of activities over a routine that is strict (Lussier N.D.). A tendency for being dependable and organized, act dutifully, showing self- discipline, aiming on achievements, and prefer the process of planning instead of spontaneous behaviour. Iowa Leadership Style With respect to the leadership style of Hasting, democratic leadership, also referred to as participative leadership is being followed. This is a category of leadership style within which participants of the group taking a more role of participation within the process of making the decisions (McAdams 2005). It has been found by a number of researchers that style of learning is mostly the one that is more effective and results in higher level of productivity, improved contributions from the members of group, and increased morality of group. Negotiation, Networking, Organizational Politics, and Power If a leader becomes careful for hiring an individual who will be putting the interests of the company at first place, who will be understanding and supporting the desire for a workplace with high performance, 97 per cent of the employees at the workforce will be doing the right thing. When it comes to behaving like an adult, Hasting believes in expressing the issues with the colleagues, subordinates and the boss openly. This instance can be considered as an evidence for the change that took place in Hasting, in comparison with what had been in the case of Pure Software (McRae 2012). The sources of feedback now seem to be involving emails being sent to the email addresses that have been provided in the duration of registration or to post communication over the service of Netflix or on the page of Your Account. This page will be including notices regarding the account such as authorizations on payment, changes in the method of payment or password, confirming e-mails and a number of oth er information related to transactions. Conclusion Considering the leadership of the CEO, it can be stated that he believed in hiring, rewarding and tolerating only those adults who were fully formed. Over the passage of time, it has been observed that if one asks an individual for relying upon common sense and logic rather than the formal policies, majority of the times, one ends up getting improved results and at a lower amount of cost (Musek 2007). If a leader becomes careful for hiring an individual who will be putting the interests of the company at first place, who will be understanding and supporting the desire for a workplace with high performance, 97 per cent of the employees at the workforce will be doing the right thing. When it comes to behaving like an adult, Hasting believes in expressing the issues with the colleagues, subordinates and the boss openly for effective results. References Bakker, A.B., 2010. God And Doubts Essays - Christian Philosophy, God In Christianity

God And Doubts "Mommy, I've killed God." You wanted a scar; there it is, plain as day (no two-level, deep meanings attached). My scar isn't external, nor, do I suppose, is it internal. Heck, I don't know what it is but all my life I know it's been my scar, my burden. I have a problem with Christianity. But I don't show disrespect to those who choose to follow it (unless they try to impose their beliefs on me), and I don't force my thoughts on anyone (you are choosing to read this). You want sex, intoxication, violence, incest and death? Read the Bible! Though, on second thought, maybe you should stick to 'Lost Souls' by Poppy Z. Brite, it's much better. I killed God when I was still little; no one made me. Or maybe they did! Maybe the couple hours a week of religious education for ten years did, maybe it was the bible passages they told a room full of six-year-olds, because no matter how pretty the stories they told us were, I always knew they were just easy answers. God's love is boundless, God forgives all, and it doesn't matter if you don't love Jesus, because Jesus loves you. Isn't that nice? But wait a minute, then sin comes into it. If you sin, even though 'God's love is infinite and he will forgive all', sorry sucker, you're going to hell. Unbelievable? Here, let me explain. You may think 'Now that's okay, God forgives me; I'm going to heaven'. Yeah right! You're blocking the hitch that's always associated with something that's too good to be true; the Bible says that all men are sinners. So what's a girl to do? It seems you're going to be going to hell anyway. And who is going to end up in heaven if these rules kick in? I'd much rather live in hell with my friends, thank you very much. It sounds like you'd get some pretty weird little guys in heaven. I think I'll leave them to it. On the flip side, we don't need to worry about going to hell; we're all going to heaven! Yeah! Because of Jesus, who by the way was both God and God's only son (and this guy invented mankind? He must've been pretty stoned the day Jesus appeared on the scene). Anyway, guess what? Jesus died for our sins! So now we can sin as much as we like and it doesn't matter. Now wasn't that just kind of him? And then you realize that since you're supposed to follow everything in the bible, you have to live both sides at the same time, complicated, huh? I'm not even sure I want to go to heaven, because if the bible is true then God just doesn't seem like a very nice guy. I doubt he'd like me too much. I read the Book of Job and the big man in the sky doesn't exactly come off looking too good in this one. It all starts one fine day when the Devil (lovely chap) starts pestering God to prove how faithful one of his followers is. God caves to Devil's mind tricks and picks out a random guy who has always been a well-behaved Christian. And so, God kills his family, ruins his crops, and plagues him with all sorts of diseases. How nice of God whose, mind you, love is boundless and infinite and you should follow his example. I don't know about you but I'd rather not. Incase you hadn't noticed I'm not your ideal candidate for entry into the kingdom heaven. Lets see: I've had a drink, probably will have sex, taken drugs, swear occasionally, I don't love my enemies (or even my neighbors, for that matter), hate is one of my most frequently used emotions, and I don't believe in God (now that's a major one!). But that's not the worst of it because I happen to believe that love transcends gender. God doesn't like this, if you're gay, you're not going to heaven. So children repeat after me; 'God is a homophobe'. I've not even scratched the surface yet, but surely you can already see why I've killed God. Maybe you've begun to understand a modicum of the torment I feel. The blasted torment that I have to carry as a scar on myself for the rest of my life.

Research Paper in US History - Easy Ways to Choose a Topic

Research Paper in US History - Easy Ways to Choose a TopicWhen looking for research papers in US History, the easiest way to make sure you find one that is easy to read and understand is to choose topics that are easier to research. These tend to be topics that people have already had an interest in. People love history and they love anything related to it. Therefore, if the topic you choose has already been researched, there will be no need to spend time on finding information about the topic, since you already know about it.Let's look at an example. There is a popular TV show on PBS called American Pickers. This show features historical figures who picked berries and other fruits in the late 1800s.People who haven't watched this show might not care about picking apples or picking strawberries in the late 1800s. However, if they were the ones picking the fruits, they would know a lot more about what was going on in America in the late 1800s. In fact, this program would be so interes ting to people if they could see people picking their own fruit! The other thing to consider when choosing a topic for your research paper in US History is how old the source is. Sources like books and newspapers often go out of date. Therefore, if you chose a book that was published 20 years ago, chances are, it is not very up to date. You will have to spend a lot of time correcting spelling and grammar mistakes and changing outdated information to current information in order to make sure your research paper is as current as possible. So how do you choose the right topic? It all comes down to your background, your personality, and your interests. A lot of people choose things that are easy to research because these topics are a bit boring.Someone who enjoys gardening and an interest in early American history might choose something like: 'The Hairy Artisan.' This is a pretty popular history book about pigs, but you can also choose a more challenging book such as: 'Is Pigs People?' Yo u don't want to just pick something that sounds good and go with it.You have to take your time when choosing a research paper in US History because if you don't choose a topic that is hard to research, it won't be worth your time. A research paper in US History should be so interesting that you want to read it over again.Using the easiest way to research a topic is the fastest way to learn. However, you must make sure that you choose a topic that is difficult to research because doing so will ensure that you enjoy reading about the topic.
